Why ServerPoint for your cloud computing needs?

We keep it easy, we keep it affordable and we are passionate about performance. We've been creating great cloud products for over two decades while all that time making sure our clients are happy. We do not oversell our capacity and we do not overload our support team; when you reach out to us, someone will take care of you fast.

  • We do not oversell our cloud's capacity

For example, when you deploy a virtual server with 4GBs of RAM, those 4GBs are yours. Even if your cloud virtual server isn't using it all, it is reserved for you. We also ensure that there is plenty of CPU power available for your needs.

  • Our staff is in-house; we do not outsource our support

Our highly experienced team is available 24/7, not only to take care of your needs, but also watching over every aspect of our operation.

  • We design and operate our own networking, BGP and ASN

For over two decades, we have operated our own AS BGP number on the Internet, ASN 26277. We manage all our networking devices and all are fully integrated into our products for the highest optimization.

  • We are just simply obsessed with quality and performance

We love speed. We will always be pushing the envelope of performance. Try it out and see for yourself.

Frequently
asked questions

What is the difference between "instance", "cloud", "virtual server", "VPS hosting" or "virtual machine"?

Shocking truth: they are all the same. Amazon AWS calls their Linux virtual servers an "instance", Microsoft's Azure calls them "virtual servers". The term "VPS", or virtual private server, is also used widely. But all of them are the same concept: an operating system, with a specific amount of RAM, CPU and disk space, running within a virtualized environment, along with other virtual servers, in a physical server.

How is the service billed?

We bill all servers by the hour. This means you can deploy a server for just a day or two to test a new version of your application and then you just delete the virtual server. Or, you can keep them running for years. To begin, you first make a "deposit" of funds into your account and as the hours go by, we deduct the hourly price of your virtual servers from that deposit. Before the deposit runs out, we will automatically refill your account by charging your credit card for an amount equal to the next 30 days of service. You may also pay by PayPal.

How much RAM, CPU and SSD disk space do you recommend?

Unlike Linux' low RAM requirements, Windows does require a good amount of RAM; take that into consideration if using Windows. If you don't know your requirements, we recommend everyone to start with a plan that includes either 4GBs or 8GBs of RAM.

How long has ColossusCloud existed?

The first release of our platform was in 2016. Since then, tens of thousands of clients have deployed and hosted their virtual servers with us.
